at fuel coffee 610 19th ave. east | seattle, wa
opening on saturday october 8th from 6-8pm
a collection of over 150 photographs taken on their iPhones, mika loudon and leigh riibe capture the beauty of their everyday lives with a new technology that is quickly becoming a large part of our society. we like you is an attempt at taking something so instant, accessible, and disposable back to a time that was more tangible, artistic and appreciated.
both mika loudon and leigh riibe are fuel coffee veterans. leigh riibe helped open the first fuel coffee on capitol hill back in 2005, and poured espresso for the next five years behind the bar. she now works as the in-house designer for fuel coffee. mika loudon has been a staple of the shop since 2005, religiously waking up at the crack of dawn to pour her dedicated customers their morning coffee. this is the first time either of them has shown their art in public.
